Every afternoon, a grandmother lovingly cared for her two grandchildren while their mother worked long hours. She carefully followed one important rule: everything she prepared had to be gluten-free. Wanting only the best for the children, she checked labels, cleaned thoroughly, and even used separate cookware to keep them safe and healthy.

One evening, the children came down with a common stomach virus that had been spreading through their school.
