I Lent My Sister Money and Lost More Than I Expected — Until Life Returned the Truth

When my sister and her husband first asked to borrow money, I believed every word that came out of their mouths. They spoke of overdue bills, unexpected emergencies, and the fear of losing their home. Wanting to help family, I handed them $25,000 without a second thought.
